I want to solve that grid.
Adopted from Junction City, Kansas, Dora is now at home in Manhattan with Anthony, Megan, and her stuffed-animal babies. Her everyday life inspired this cozy crossword game.

A tiny grid, hosted by Dora.
Try a little crossword while her humans build the app. Finish it for a digital pet. The real Dora is cozy at home.
You have petted Dora 0 times. She approves.

Dora D, Keeper of the Grid.
Dora is a rescue pittie adopted from Junction City. Home is now Manhattan, Kansas: her babies, her car-shaped bed, and Anthony and Megan—Dad and Mom. That real life is the heart of DoraGrid.

Solve, pet, postcard.
Solve the grid
The app is being built around a daily crossword, with Dora as your host. Try the practice mini here while it takes shape.
Pet Dora
Finish the practice grid and add a digital pet to your browser count. Dad and Mom take care of Dora’s real-life cuddles.
Get a postcard
Real photos of Dora are part of the plan for the app. For now, her photo album is here on Meet Dora.

A small team.
A very good boss.
Anthony and Megan are building this around the dog they love. Dora brings the inspiration; Dad and Mom handle the human parts.
- Dora Our very good girl
- The real dog behind it all: her babies, her favorite places, and her life with Dad and Mom.
- Anthony Dad
- Dora’s dad and the web designer bringing her little corner of the internet to life.
- Megan Mom
- Dora’s mom, a social worker, and the person behind a simple rule: ask first, be kind.
Little adventures.
Very good company.
The ordinary things that make her day extraordinary.

Backyard adventures
A little fresh air, a look around the yard, and plenty to sniff. There is a whole world just outside the door.

A very slow getaway
The car-shaped bed: zero miles per hour, maximum comfort.

Baby supervision
They are her babies. That is what we call her stuffed animals at home, and they belong in her little world here, too.
Before you ask.
Is Dora a real dog?
Yes. The photos are of our Dora: the backyard, the couch, her car-shaped bed, her green sweater. The illustrations are based on that same very good girl.
Can I actually pet her?
Finishing the practice grid adds a digital pet here. If you meet Dora in person, ask Anthony or Megan first and let Dora choose whether she wants to say hello. A nap is a perfectly good answer, too.
Why does this game exist?
Because strangers kept telling Dora they wanted to pet her, and her humans figured a dog this pettable deserved a daily puzzle. This is her fan club, photo archive, and crossword headquarters in one place.
What breed is she?
A rescue pit bull with a white coat and grey patches. Around here, she is Dora, Dora D, or Dowa. Also: very good girl.
Can I send Dora fan mail?
Yes. Use the Contact page to send a note to her humans. Dora leaves the typing to Anthony.
